[Jacinda headed over to the Crow's Bar. Maybe this was a bad idea. Zie didn't spend much time here, especially not when it was busy, preferring the quiet and relative anonymity of a different, smaller bar that wasn't always in the Hub.]
[Zie walked in, glad to see that Jay who owned the Bar was the only one in right now.]
Hey there. [Zie sits on one of the bar stools.]

... seeing as there were two of 'em living with me at the time, kinda hard. The bar's not forbidden to kids.
Listen, I've been back— I don't even know how long I was gone for. My barman punching Dick in the face happened months ago. And the first thing he says when he sees me, the very first thing, is all of this again.

He ain't put me up to anything, just so's you know. This is all me stickin' my big nose into y' business. But I think you wrong.
no subject
Think me wrong all you want, I think it's with Dick I should be talking about that. Except it's like we're both talking different languages.

[If zie knew what Jay was thinking, Jacinda would call him an idiot. Or perhaps zie would be able to explain better. Zie thinks the blame was equal, between Tim and Dickie, and zie lays a good portion at Jay's feet, too, for letting underage kids into the Crow's Bar.]
Yeah, I'll go ahead and do that. [Jacinda rolls zir eyes.] You two are such morons. Is it the testosterone? Maybe I should be glad I lost all a' that. [Zie sighs and leans on zir elbows on the bar.] Fine. What do ya want to say to him? If he were here and not startin' the conversation? I'll pass on the fuckin' message.

He leans on the counter, mirroring your posture.]
What he wants to drink. If he wants a snack. When does David Bowie look the best. And he wouldn't start with apologies to me again and again.
[he pushes himself back from the counter.] You satisfied?

[Jacinda feels a bit better, knowing that this one isn't holding a grudge.] You know Dickie. He's a little dense when it comes t' dealin' with us. He needs a lot a' reassurance. Things get messy.
no subject
[things get messy.] Yeah. They do. ...[you're Dick's friend.] ...he worries me. From what he told me— I think he's lonely, and he gets into people and relationships only to expect them not to last. It's not... the healthiest thing around.
no subject
[Another eyeroll.] Like any of us are healthy.
no subject
Yeah, well we ain't the baseline to this, that's for sure. It's like— I dunno, when I was talking to him, because I was pissed at him it was like the whole world had ended and the relation between the two of us too. Gone down crashing and burning and all of that. It's— not healthy and sure as hell ain't good with fucking words either. I dunno how to explain. Kinda gut feeling.

...What d'you mean? ...well, not my business, I guess. Keep yourself safe and all, late advice notwithstanding.

[Jacinda raises an eyebrow.] I mean he's already emotionally attached to me.
no subject
You're his friend. Anyway. You want anything to drink? 'Case you're asking, yeah, I got not-alcohol stuff.
no subject
Yeah, I am. An' I got his back.
[Zie takes a seat on the nearest stool. Zie should probably compensate you for putting up with this conversation.] Fine. Just a soda. [Jacinda's liver thanks you.]
no subject
[he's here to be nice to livers.]
no subject
Other than that, none.
